A novice backcountry skier, Hank Carson, travels to Nevada's Ruby Mountains with two experienced athletes. With go-fever, the men tackle a famous couloir under questionable conditions and barely escape. Years later, Hank faces down his demons and returns, but climbing and skiing "The Couloir" won't be the most frightening thing Hank has to contend with.
